Gluten-free Avocado, Sweet Potato and Tofu Burger

Gluten-free Avocado, Sweet Potato and Tofu Burger

You don’t have to be a meat eater to enjoy a burger! I can assure you, once you try this Gluten-free avocado, sweet potato and tofu burger recipe, you’ll think twice before buying those store bought patties. With this recipe, you’ll be able to make enough patties that you can enjoy for up to a week – makes 20 patties! You can also make them in advance of a party and freeze them.

DID YOU KNOW THAT MOST STORE-BOUGHT PATTIES MAY CONTAIN GLUTEN?

Most store-bought burger patties use binding agents, seasoning, and sauces that may contain gluten. So, unless the packaging specifies the patties are certified gluten-free, I’d strongly advise against consuming them.

WHAT MAKES THIS RECIPE GLUTEN-FREE?

The recipe uses rice flour and gluten-free certified cornstarch for binding. Please check the packaging for your rice flour and cornstarch to ensure they are gluten-free certified.

A FEW CALL OUTS BEFORE WE BEGIN:

  • In order to help save time, this recipe uses certified gluten-free garlic powder, ginger powder and onion powder. Feel free to substitute them with fresh ginger, garlic and chopped onions. (Quantities will need to be adjusted).
  • I used dry fenugreek leaves for flavor, you may add any other family favorite herbs or spices.
  • The spice level for this recipe is medium-high.
